
Cardinals Dominate ACC Rankings

The Cardinals own three of the top six stroke averages.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Playing in one of the most challenging men's golf conferences in the country, the University of Louisville has joined the league's elite.
Heading into the eighth event of the season, the Cardinals own the top stroke average within the league at 278.05, ranking third in the conference with three tournament wins. Notre Dame and Georgia Tech own four wins this seasons. Louisville has won the Bearxar Invitational and the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate.
The Cardinals head into the General Hackler Invitational on March 9 coming off a rain-shortened win in the Dorado Beach Invitational.
Individually, the Cardinals have three of the top six stroke averages in the ACC. John Murphy ranks as the top player in the league with a 69.16 stroke average. He's tied for the league lead with two wins after winning last week in Puerto Rico.
Matthias Schmid, a newly announced member of the Palmer Cup, ranks second with a 69.35 stroke average and Jiri Zuska sits in sixth place at 70.06.
