Cardinals Wrap Up Day One at the ACC Indoor Championships

Micah Oberhausen leads the Heptathlon after the first day
South Bend, Ind. -- The University of Louisville men's and women's track and field team wrapped up the first day at the 2020 ACC Indoor Championships on Thursday evening. The Louisville women were able to score 11 points in two events on day one and currently stands in fifth place.
The day started with the multi-events and wrapped up on the track with the distance medley relay.
Addie Wanner picked up two points for the women's team with her seventh place finish in the pentathlon. The sophomore finished with a personal best 3617 points. Her best finish of the day was second in the high jump.
Micah Oberhausen finished the first day atop the leaderboard in the heptathlon after four events with 3085 points. He finished first in the 60 meters and the shot put. Clay Moss will go into the final day of events in seventh place with 2634 points.
Louisville was able to pick up nine points in the women's weight throw. Makenli Forrest and Halee Hudson led the Cardinal women with fourth and fifth place throws. Forrest threw for 21.71m/71-2.75 to finish fourth. Hudson heaved a personal best of 21.13m/69-4 to finish fifth.
Competition will continue on Friday at 11:00 a.m. with the first of three events in the heptathlon. Field events will open with the women's high jump at noon and the men's 3000m will start things on the track.
