Cardinals Move Up to No. 8 in the Golfweek Rankings

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville men's golf team continues to climb up the rankings.

After picking up its third win of the season in Puerto Rico, the Cardinals jumped up to No. 8 in the recent Golfweek rankings, which the third-highest rating among teams in the Atlantic Coast Conference – one of the top golf conferences in the nation. Duke is listed at No. 5 and Wake Forest is tabbed the No. 6 team in the top-20 ratings.

Individually, the Cardinals have two golfers listed in the top 30 nationally in senior John Murphy and Matthias Schmid. Murphy is the top-rated player on the squad at No. 15 after picking up his second career win at the Dorado Beach Intercollegiate. He also won the Bearcat Invitational earlier in the fall.

Schmid is the No. 29^th-rated player in the country after he's posted one top-five finish and four in the top 10 during the 2019-20 season.

Louisville returns to the course on March 9-10 at the General Hackler Invitational.
