Cardinals Host Top-Ranked Pitt Friday

Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Dr. Mark & Cindy Lynn Stadium
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – After back-to-back road matches, the University of Louisville men's soccer team returns to Dr. Mark & Cindy Lynn Stadium to take on top-ranked Pitt on Friday. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. and will be streamed on ACC Network Extra.

LAST TIME OUT
The Cardinals earned a hard-fought point on the road at Syracuse last Friday, playing the Orange to a 2-2 draw in double overtime. Syracuse took a 2-0 lead in the 77th minute before the Cardinals stormed back. Nico Diaz and Aboubacar Camara scored their first collegiate goals in the 78th and 81st minutes, respectively, to level the match and ultimately give the Cards a point in the conference standings.
SERIES HISTORY
The series between Louisville and Pittsburgh dates back to 2006 when both programs competed as members of the Big East Conference. The Cardinals have won all five meetings, most recently defeating the Panthers 1-0 in September of 2018.
LAST MEETING
Adam Wilson converted a penalty kick in the 79th minute of a scoreless match to lift the Cardinals to a 1-0 victory over Pitt on Sept. 21, 2018 at Dr. Mark & Cindy Lynn Stadium. Jake Gelnovatch finished with a pair of saves on his way to a shutout win.
