Louisville, Ky. – Following a successful showing at the Notre Dame Invitational, the University of Louisville men's and women's indoor track and field teams will face high caliber opponents at the Power Five Invitational, hosted by the University of Michigan. Louisville will be joined by host Michigan along with Michigan State, Mississippi State, North Carolina, Northwestern, and Notre Dame.
Competition at the U-M Indoor Track Building will begin on Friday, Jan. 31 at noon with the heptathlon 60m. Friday's action will shift to the running events later in the day, with the women's 60m hurdles starting at 3:45 p.m. Saturday's competition will begin with the heptathlon 60m hurdles at 9:30 a.m. The meet will conclude with the men's 4x400m relay at 3:13 p.m.
At last weekend's Notre Dame Invitational, the Cards took first on the women's side, while racking up 11 event wins. Brooke Raglin won the 60m dash with a time of 7.35, which ranks as the third fastest time in school history. Halee Hudson placed first in weight throw with a mark of 20.24m/66-5.
On the men's side, freshman Cayden Spencer-Thompson picked up two wins, wining the triple jump with a leap of 15.05m/49-4.50 and the high jump with a clearance of 2.10m/6-10.75. Isiah Pantiere also finished the day with two wins. He won the 60m dash with a time of 6.94 and then went on to win the 200m dash with a time of 21.57.
