Cards Collect More National Academic Honors

Sixteen players named to Zag Sports Tours/NFHCA National Academic Squad
The University of Louisville field hockey team placed 16 student-athletes on the 2018 Zag Sports Tours National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division I National Academic Squad.
The Division I National Academic Squad program recognizes those student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the first semester of the 2018-19 academic year.
Senior Maria Gomez earned the honor for the fourth straight year and is joined on the squad by Elizabeth Allgeier, Carter Ayars, Alli Bitting, Erica Cooper, AnnMarie Habelow, Mackenzie Karl, Isabella Leeker, Sam Minrath, Mercedes Pastor, Camryn Pichea, Katie Schneider, Meghan Schneider, Taylor Stone, Katie Walsh and Madison Walsh.
The Cardinals finished the 2018 season with a 13-6 overall record and ranked No. 14 in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) poll after earning the No. 3 seed in the 2018 ACC Championship.
