Gabriela Leon wins her third straight pole vault title this season
KENT, Ohio – Pole vaulters from the University of Louisville track and field team competed at the Doug Raymond National Qualifier Saturday afternoon.
On the women's side, Gabriela Leon picked up her third straight pole vault title this season with a mark of 4.23m/13-10.50. Morgan Zacharias took fourth place at 3.98m/13-00.75, and Aliyah Welter finished in eighth place at 3.68m/12-00.75.
On the men's side, Lucas Weaver finished in 11th place after clearing 4.60m/15-01.
The Cardinals will take a week off before returning to competition Feb. 21-23 in Blacksburg, Va. at the ACC Indoor Championships.
