
Wasike Leads Louisville on the Final Day of the ACC Indoor Championships

Dorcas Wasike earns her second ACC Indoor Title
BLACKSBURG, Va. – After three days of competition, the University of Louisville track and field team finished in fourth on the women's side and 10th on the men's side at the 2019 ACC Indoor Championships. The Cardinals finished with two ACC Champions, five first-team All-ACC slections while 10 Cardinals earned second-team All-ACC honors.
Dorcas Wasike became a two-time ACC Indoor Champion this afternoon, cruising to a win in the 3,000 meters. She clocked a time of 9:24.05 for medalist honors, earning first team All-ACC honors. Also on the track, Martice Moore tied his personal best time of 7.95 in the 60m hurdles to finish fourth. Moore and picked up second-team All-ACC honors for the second straight year.
Junior Rashida Harris earned her first All-ACC accolades in the shot put with a mark of 15.10m/49-06.50. She finished sixth in her first ACC Championship. Senior Christian Buckley finished fourth in men's shot put with a throw of 17.91m/58-09.25 and earned second-team All-ACC honors.
Selected Cardinals will compete at the 2019 NCAA Indoor Championships March 8-9 in Birmingham, Ala.
