TEAM NOTES
- Louisville limited Pittsburgh to just 46 points in the win, building off the 43 points allowed to Michigan on Tuesday.
- UofL has won 160 straight games when holding the opposition under 50 points.
- It marks the first time the Cardinals have held their opponent under 50 in consecutive games since the 2014-15 season when it allowed 26 to Savannah State (Nov. 24, 2014) and 33 to Cleveland State (Nov. 26, 2014).
- The Cardinals allowed 21 points in the first half and 25 points in the second half against Pittsburgh.
- Louisville has allowed 25 points or less in four consecutive halves and eight halves on the season.
- Louisville's defensive effort included holding Pittsburgh scoreless for stretches of 3:10, 3:26, 3:39, 5:43 and 5:55 in the win.
- UofL's best defensive scoreless stretch was 5:10 on Nov. 5 at Miami, before the Cardinals surpassed it twice on Friday.
- The drought of 5:55 included holding the Panthers without a point for the final 5:35 of the first half, during which the Cardinals went from up six (27-21) to up 14 (35-21) at halftime.
- The Cardinals have forced their opponents into 28 scoring droughts of three minutes or longer through nine contests.
- Pittsburgh shot just 38 percent (20-of-53) from the field in the loss.
- Louisville has held opponents under 40 percent shooting 69 times over the last six years, including seven times in nine games this season.
- The Panthers made only 3-of-12 attempts from the 3-point line on Friday.
- Louisville's last three opponents have combined to shoot 7-of-48 (14.6 percent) from outside.
- Louisville made a season-best 11 3-pointers in Friday's victory.
- The Cardinals were 9-of-17 from beyond the arc in the first half, the most 3-pointers they have made in a half since making 10 in the first half against Virginia on Feb. 23, 2019.
- Louisville's first eight 3-point field goals on Friday were made by eight different players.
- Friday marked the first time eight different Cardinals made a 3-pointer in a game since a 90-62 victory over UMKC on Dec. 4, 2013. It was only the fifth time in UofL history that as many as eight different players hit a three-pointer in a single game, and it was the first time that it has ever happened in one half. Nine is the UofL record for the most different players to make a three-pointer in a game, accomplished once against Charlotte on March 8, 2003.Â
- The Cardinals won the rebounding battle 33-29 in the victory.
- Louisville has out-rebounded the opposition in eight of its nine games this season.
- Louisville finished with 17 assists on 23 made field goals in the win.
- The Cardinals have had at least 15 helpers five times through nine games.
- UofL put together runs of 8-0, 11-0 and 13-0 on its way to victory.

- McMahon has scored in double figures five times this season and made at least three 3-pointers in five of nine games this season.
