LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. – The University of Louisville doubles team of Sergio Hernandez and Fabien Salle has advanced to the finals of the Dick Vitale Intercollegiate Clay Court Classic. They will face Notre Dame's William Howells and Axel Nefve in the title match on Sunday.
The sophomore duo topped Florida's Joshua Goodger and Greysen Cacciatore 8-6 in the quarterfinals to pick up their third straight win in the tournament.
In consolation singles action, freshman Matthew Fung defeated Navy's Greg Durham 6-1, 6-3 in the quarterfinals, but fell 2-6, 6-3, 1-0 to Duke's Michael Heller in the semifinals. Salle picked up a 6-3, 6-2 win over Florida's Brian Berdusco to reach the semifinals were he fell 6-3, 6-4 to Notre Dame's Axel Nefve.
