
Crabtree Adds a Pair of Signees to the Men's Golf Program

Max Kenmnedy and Walker Franklin have signed with the UofL men's golf program.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -Â University of Louisville men's golf head coach Mark Crabtree has announced the signing of a pair of high school senior student-athletes in Max Kennedy and Walker Franklin to compete for the Cardinals beginning with the 2020-21 season.
 "We have put together an outstanding recruiting class with Walker and Max," UofL head coach Mark Crabtree said. "I'm excited that both student-athletes will be impactful in their first year with the Cardinals.  They have great passion for the game, are highly motivated,  and possess a high skill level. They are fundamentally sound in their technique and approach the game with a correct mindset. I am very excited to have both Walker and Max joining the program and know they will have an incredible experience."

A native of Dublin, Ireland, Kennedy is a two-time champion in the Faldo Junior Series (Northern Ireland Championship & Grand Final Championship), where he fired a final round 64 that included five birdies on the final nine holes.

A long-time member of the Irish National Team, Kennedy reached the quarterfinals of the British Boys Championship at Saunton Golf Club in Devon, United Kingdom..

In 2018, he won the Leinster 2018 U18 and the Irish 2018 U18 awards as the most consistent player in Ireland.

Franklin, who hails from Westminister, Colo., is a two-time Colorado High School Player of the Year after leading his team to a pair of runners-up finishes at the Colorado High School State Championships.

In 2019, Franklin, who holds a top-50 ranking by Golfweek, posted a top-five finish at the IMG Junior World Championship.
