Cardinals Set to Compete in the Power Five Invitational This Weekend

Multi-event performers will compete for the first time this season
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville men's and women's track and field teams travel to Ann Arbor, Mich. to compete in the Power Five Invitational this Friday and Saturday.
The Cardinals will compete against ACC opponents Pittsburgh and Georgia Tech, along with hosts Michigan, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan State, Minnesota, Vanderbilt, and Wisconsin. The meet will open with the men's heptathlon and women's pentathlon Friday afternoon and conclude with the 4x400m relays Saturday evening.
Louisville will see Addie Wanner, Dominic McClinton, Clay Moss, Philip Frank and Aaron Johnson compete in multi-events for the first time this season.
The full team returns to competition this weekend after a throwers-only showing at the Illini Invitational. Last weekend, Makenli Forrest picked up a win in the women's weight throw with a throw of 20.72m/67-11.75, while Halee Hudson set a personal best in the same event with a throw of 19.30m/63-04.00. Mitchell Kessler set a personal best in the men's weight throw at 17.82m/58-05.75 and Rashida Harris set a personal best in the women's shot put at 15.41m/50-06.75.
