
King Named the Ray Guy Punter of the Week

Mason King averaged 46.5 yards per punt last week.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville punter Mason King was named the Ray Guy Award Punter of the Week by the Augusta Sports Council for his outstanding performance in the win last Saturday over Indiana State.
King averaged 46.5 yards per punt on six punts and pinned Indiana State inside their own 20-yard line three times. He set his career-best mark with a 64-yard punt in the second quarter that forced the Sycamores to start a drive at its own 15-yard line.
The Louisville, Kentucky, native leads the Atlantic Coast Conference in punting with a career best 44.6 average. He set the school record the last two seasons for punting average at 43.9 yards a punt.
His career punting average of 44.0 ranks first in Louisville history and he has put 25.9 percent of his punts inside the 20 in his career (29 of 112).
The Cardinals host Western Kentucky on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
