
Hadwin Stands in a Tie for Third at the Masters

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - There is a familiar name for fans of the University of Louisville men's golf team atop the leaderboard at one of the most prestigious golf tournaments on the PGA Tour.
All-American Adam Hadwin sits in a tie for third place after the first round of the 2018 Masters at the Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Ga.
The Canada native fired a 3-under-par 69 to sit in a four-way tie for third with three rounds to play.
Hadwin opened play with eight-consecutive pars before posting his first birdie on No. 9. He went on to tab birdies on No. 10, No. 12 and No. 15 and No. 16.
"I'm excited to see him get off to great first round," UofL men's golf coach Mark Crabtree said. "He was aided by last year's experience, and it looks like its helping him out. It will be fun for all of us to follow his week."
