LOUISVILLE, Ky. --Â The University of Louisville track and field team placed seven athletes on the 2018 Indoor Track and Field All-ACC Academic Team, as announced by the conference office on Thursday.
On the women's side, Carsen Cassell, Makenli Forest, Holly Hankenson, Gabriela Leon, and Linda Mutter made the women's team. Christian Buckley and Joe Delgado were named to the men's team.Â
Â
Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team.
Every member of the 2017-18 All-ACC Indoor Track and Field Academic Teams also earned All-America and/or All-ACC honors during the most recent season. Three of the Cardinals' honorees were ACC Champions – Delgado (Heptathlon),  Forrest (Weight Throw) and Hankenson (Pentathlon).Â
The ACC Honor Roll, which recognizes each conference student-athlete with a grade point average of 3.0 for the current academic year, will be released in July.
