Dorcas Wasike Leads Track and Field Teams on Friday

Cardinals finish with one win and six top 15 performances
LOUISVILLE, KY. – The University of Louisville track and field teams competed at the Texas Relays and Raleigh Relays on Friday. The Cardinals finished the day with one win and six top 15 performances. Dorcas Wasike led the Cardinals with a win in the 10,000 meters at the Raleigh Relays.
At the Raleigh Relays, Wasike won her second event of the outdoor season with a season best time of 33:30.33 in the 10,000m. Teammate Kassidy Manning finished 11th with a time of 34:23.74.
At the Texas Relays, Freshman Alivia Ash finished tied for ninth in the high jump. She finished with a mark of 1.63m/5"4 ¼". Freshman Brooke Raglin ran a personal best time of 11.43 in the 100m dash to finish 13th in the preliminaries.
Freshman Gabriela Leon finished with an outdoor season best mark of 4.00m/13'1 ½" to finish 11th in the pole vault. The women's 4x100m relay team of Angel Amadi, Brooke Raglin, Sharnae Alston, and Alexis Gibbons finished 15th with a time of 46.37 in the preliminaries.
The teams will wrap up competition at the Texas Relays and Raleigh Relays while the throwers will compete at the San Diego Collegiate Open on Saturday.
