Men's Golf Remains in 12th Place at the Hootie Intercollegiate

LOUISVILLE, Ky -The University of Louisville men's golf team remains in 12th place after two rounds of the 2018 Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate. With strong winds affecting play, the Cardinals fired an 18-over-par 306 to total a two-day score of 596, seven shots short of cracking the top-10.

Kent State is the leader after Monday, firing a two-day mark of 10-under-par, while Braden Thornberry of Mississippi is the individual leader at 7-under-par.

For the Cardinals, Matthias Schmid is the team's top player, sitting in a tie for 21st place after carding a 3-over-par 75. Keegan de Lange posted the top mark on the afternoon by firing a 2-over-par 74 to stand in a tie for 28th place.

Nicolas Platret is tied for 52nd place when he shot a 4-over par 76. Simon Zach and John Murphy each fired a 9-over-81 to finish in a tie for 58th and 73rd, respectively.

The Cardinals, who are paired with Georgia State and the College of Charleston, return to action on Tuesday morning at 8:50 a.m.
