Schneider Named to U19-USWNT Team for Ireland Tour

Freshman Meghan Schneider will travel to Ireland with USA Field Hockey's Under-19 Team
The University of Louisville's Meghan Schneider has been selected to the USA Field Hockey Under-19 roster for its Ireland Tour which will take place March 22-29.
The roster was chosen after an extensive training camp March 9-11 in Winston-Salem, N.C.Â
This marks Schneider's second year on the U-19 USWNT. As a freshman at Louisville, the San Diego, Calif., native saw action in all of the Cardinals' 21 games with five starts in the backfield.

Louisville finished the 2017 season with a 14-8 overall record after earning their fourth straight NCAA tournament appearance and posting a runner-up finish in the ACC championship. UofL also posted a 4-2 record in ACC play - the most wins since joining the conference in 2014 - and finished tied for second in the regular season standings. Louisville was ranked No. 8 in the final National Field Hockey Coaches' Association poll after being ranked in the top 10 for six weeks in 2017.
