Field Hockey Earns NFHCA National Academic Team

Cards earn the honor for the seventh straight year
The University of Louisville Field Hockey team was named to the 2017 ZAG Field Hockey/National Field Hockey Coaches Association National Academic Team Award list. This marks the seventh straight year Louisville has earned the honor.
The National Academic Team Award recognizes those institutions that achieve a minimum GPA of 3.0 during the first semester of the 2017-18 academic year.
The Cards posted a 3.349 team GPA during the 2017 season when they compiled a 14-8 overall record. Additionally, Louisville earned its fourth-straight NCAA tournament appearance and earned a runner-up finish in the ACC championship. UofL also tallied a 4-2 record in ACC play - the most wins since joining the conference in 2014 - and finished tied for second in the regular season standings. The Cardinals were ranked No. 8 in the final National Field Hockey Coaches' Association poll.
