Men's Golf Tied For Sixth After Two Rounds of Action at the Louisiana Classics

Keegan de Lange and Nicolas Platret are in the top 20 after two rounds.
LAFAYETTE, La. – Keegan de Lange and Nicolas Platret ended the first day of the Louisiana Classics in the top 20, pacing the University of Louisville men's golf team through two rounds of play on Monday in Lafayette, La.
Competing in the 15-team field, the Cardinals are tied for sixth with Louisiana Monroe at the Oakbourne Country Club. Louisville put together a two-round score of 3-under par 573 and are just one shot out of fifth place heading into Tuesday's final round.
De Lange is tied for 10th after 36 holes, firing a 3-under par 141 and is just five shots off the lead. The junior opened the day with a 2-under par 70 and followed up by shooting a 1-under par 71.
After beginning play with three bogeys on the first nine holes, De Lange responded by carding three birdies on the back nine.
Platret is tied for 15th after firing a two-round score of 142. He opened play with a 3-under par 69, but faltered a bit on the second 18 holes with a 73 in the second round.
John Murphy was the third player in the top 25, sitting in a tie for 21st after shooting a 69-74=143. The freshman opened play with a 69 by firing a 2-under par on the front and 1-under par on the back.
Simon Zach is tied for 55th place with his rounds of 73-74-147 and Matthias Schmid is tied for 74th after his rounds of 79-74=153.
Playing as an individual, Erik Dulik ended the day in 80th place by shooting 76-79=155.
