Ayeisha McFerran earns her third ACC weekly honor of the season

The University of Louisville's Ayeisha McFerran earned ACC Co-Defensive Player of the Week honors for the period ending October 28. This marks McFerran's third weekly honor of the season and the sixth in her career.

McFerran (Larne, Northern Ireland) collected four saves to help the Cardinals beat Kent State 3-1 in their regular season finale on Sunday. The senior registered her 13^th win of the season and notched her 50^th career victory. She is now tied for second with Marie-Claire Heller (2004-07) on Louisville's all-time list and needs two more to move into a tie for first with Christy Hershey (2000-03).

Additionally, her 50 career wins place her second in career wins among active NCAA goalkeepers. She stands one victory behind the current leader.
The 11^th-ranked Cardinals (13-5) will travel to Chapel Hill, N.C. where they will face No. 19 Wake Forest in the quarterfinals of the ACC Championship Thursday at 4 p.m.
