
Louisville Travels to the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate

The Cardinals are coming off a fourth-place finish at the Intercoolegiate at the Grove.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The No. 12 University of Louisville men's golf team returns to action this weekend when the Cardinals travel to Jonesborough, Tenn., for the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate. The event takes place at Blackthorn Club at The Ridge and runs Friday through Sunday.
Rounds begin at 8:30 a.m. with teams going off from the No. 1 tee and No. 10 tees.
The field for this year's tournament includes Coastal Carolina, East Tennessee State, East Carolina, Furman, Kent State, Missouri, Penn State, Tennessee, UNC Wilmington, VCU, Villanova, Virginia and Virginia Tech.
Louisville's lineup will feature Matthias Schmid, Jiri Zuska, Simon Zach, and John Murphy. Trevor Johnson will compete as an individual.
After finishing fourth at the Intercollegiate at the Grove, the Cardinals return to the course just three days after finishing fourth in the third event of the fall. Schmid posted his sixth top-10 finish of his career by finishing in a tie for eighth at 3-under-par.
Schmid was solid with rounds of 71-74-68=21. His round featured six birdies and an eagle to lead the Cardinals to another strong finish.
The Cardinals will tee off Friday starting at 9:20 a.m. and will be paired with Virginia and Coastal Carolina.
