Freshman Meghan Schneider selected to the Junior USWNT U19 team for the second straight year
The University of Louisville's Meghan Schneider was named to USA Field Hockey's Under-19 team as announced by the Junior U.S. Women's National Team coaching staff.
Â
This marks Schneider's second year on the U19 team following her initial selection in the summer of 2017. The San Diego, Calif., native recently completed her freshman campaign at Louisville, playing in all of the Cardinals' 21 games with five starts in the backfield.
Â
Louisville finished the 2017 season with a 14-8 overall record after earning their fourth straight NCAA tournament appearance and posting a runner-up finish in the ACC championship. UofL also posted a 4-2 record in ACC play - the most wins since joining the conference in 2014 - and finished tied for second in the regular season standings.
