Louisville (13-4, 3-1 ACC) won for the ninth time its last 11 games as the Cardinals beat Virginia Tech in the KFC Yum! Center on Saturday as Deng Adel scored a career-high 27 points and added 11 rebounds for his third career double-double and second in his last three games. Louisville shot a season-best 56.5 percent from three-point range (13-of-23) and the Cardinals have made at least eight three-pointers in six of its last 10 games.

- Quentin Snider needs two points to become the Cardinals' 68th career 1,000-point scorer. He matched a season-high with 19 points against Virginia Tech, his fourth game this season with that total. He is fourth in the ACC and 43rd in the nation in assists turnover ratio (2.65).
