LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville women's lacrosse team hosts the first of two fall events this Saturday at UofL Lacrosse Stadium. The three-team tournament will feature the Cardinals along with Marquette and Vanderbilt. Admission is free.
Â
The Cardinals kick off the tournament at 11:00 a.m. ET against Marquette. They will face Vanderbilt at 1:30 p.m. ET and then play Marquette again at 2:45 p.m. ET in a 30-minute contest.
In addition, Marquette will square off against Vanderbilt at 12:15 p.m. ET.
Â
"We're excited to face Marquette and Vanderbilt on our brand new turf," said head coach Kellie Young. "I was pleased with the way we competed in Nashville to open fall play and look for us to continue that trend this weekend."
Two weeks ago, Louisville opened its fall schedule at Vanderbilt with wins over the host Commodores, Lindenwood and Alabama-Huntsville.
Â
The Cardinals finished last season with an 11-8 record and are coming off a fourth consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament.
