Christopher Morin-Kougoucheff continues play in the ITF Egypt F18 Pro Futures Tournament
The University of Louisville's Christopher Morin-Kougoucheff continues to hone his tennis skills by competing in various tournaments during the summer.
Â
The rising junior from Capbreton, France, competed in the ITF Egypt F18 Pro Futures Tournament last week, reaching the second round in singles and the quarterfinals in doubles.
Â
"Chris is starting his summer where he finished the season, playing a high level of tennis," said UofL head coach Rex Ecarma. "I know he wants a world ranking and I believe he will achieve it soon."
Â
Morin-Kougoucheff followed last week's performance by picking up three straight-set singles wins in the second week of the Egypt Futures qualification draw. He went on to defeat Junior Alexandre Ore 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 in the first round.
Â
"Chris has really grown as a player and competitor the last two seasons," said UofL head coach Rex Ecarma. "People are seeing the difference in his play. He had ambitious goals in tennis and wants to be one of the elite players in the ACC next season."
