Stone Set for 2017 Maccabiah Games

Taylor Stone will travel to Israel to compete in the Maccabiah Games
The University of Louisville's Taylor Stone will travel to Israel to compete in the 2017 Maccabiah Games July 4-18.

Stone, a rising junior from Herndon, Va., also participated in the 2013 Maccabiah Games and helped Team USA to a Bronze Medal. The midfielder/defender is currently a member of USA Field Hockey's Under 21 team and was selected for a three-match test series against England in April 2017. She is a two-year starter for the Cardinals and is coming off of a sophomore campaign in which she scored four goals while helping Louisville to an ACC-best seven shutouts.

About the Maccabiah Games
Nearly 7,000 Jewish athletes from 80 countries will join 2,500 Israeli athletes in the Olympic-style competition which will be held at Teddy Kollek Stadium in Jerusalem. Held every four years, the Jewish multi-sport competition is the world's third-largest sporting event.

Maccabi USA is a volunteer organization that strives to provide Jewish athletes all over the world the opportunity to share their heritage and customs in competitive athletic settings.  The 2017 Maccabiah Games will take place July 4-18 at Teddy Kollek Stadium in Israel.
