Cards add German standout to 2017 squad
University of Louisville field hockey coach Justine Sowry has announced that Marisa Martin Pelegrina has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Cardinals starting in the fall of 2017.

Marisa Martin Pelegrina comes to Louisville from Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany where she is in her second year as a member of the German Under 18 national team. The defender/midfielder is currently training with the German U21 team as it prepares to contend for a spot in the European Championship. Her impressive resume includes playing for the German U16 team in 2015 and earning a spot on the U18 team in 2016. Additionally, she helped her HTC Uhlenhorst Mülheim club team to a national championship in 2016.
