
De Lange Selected To NCAA Regional At Purdue

Sophomore leads the Cardinals with a 72/63 stroke average.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Sophomore Keegan de Lange of the University of Louisville men's golf team received an individual bid to the NCAA Regional being played at Kampen Course in West Lafayette, Ind. It will be hosted by Purdue and take place from May 15-17.
De Lange is one of ten individuals competing for medalist honors in order to advance to the NCAA Championships in Sugar Grove, Ill., from May 26-31.
"Keegan had a solid season, head coach Mark Crabtree said. "He played with a high level of consistency and is well-deserving of this opportunity. This is a great golf course for him and gives him a good chance to compete. He had a consistent year and did a lot of nice things."
The Pretoria, South Africa, native was the team's leader throughout the 2016-17 campaign. De Lange compiled a 72.63 stroke average through 32rounds, 12 of which were par or better. He recorded three top-10 finishes, with his best finish being a third- place finish at the Mobile Sports Authority Intercollegiate – shooting a 3-under par 213 – in the lone championship of the season.
De Lange recorded seven top 20 finishes this season, including a tie for 9th at the John Hayt Invitational in Jacksonville, Fla., by firing a 2-over par 218.
