
Men's Golf Finishes 11th at ACC Championships

Keegan de Lange shot an even par 72 in the final round.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Sophomore Keegan de Lange shot an even-par 72 in the final round of the Atlantic Coast Conference Championship on Saturday, tying for 25th, while helping the University of Louisville men's golf team to an 11th-place finish in Clinton, S.C.
Due to inclement weather scheduled for Sunday, the Cardinals played second and third rounds beginning on Saturday morning.
The Cardinals, collectively, shot a 40-over par for the tournament, finishing with a 301-305-298=904. Louisville put together its best round of the championships, firing a 298 in the final round. Duke won the ACC title at 14-under par, while Clemson was second 2-under par. Wake Forest was third at 3-over par, while Florida State finished fourth at 4-over par and NC State was fifth at 9-over.
In the final round of action, de Lange was the only UofL player to shoot even for the entire three rounds of action. The Pretoria, South Africa native, played the back nine at 2-under par, recording birdies on No. 11, No. 16 and No. 18. He finished play in a tie for 27th at 75-75-72=222.
Sophomore Simon Zach, who tied for 32nd, played his best in the final round, firing a 2-over par 74. He ended the tournament with a 75-75-74=224.
Freshman Trevor Johnson tied for 43rd-place after shooting 76-77-76=229, while sophomore Erik Dulik was tied for 47th at 75-78-77=230. Junior Nicolas Platret rounded out the top five players by finishing 53rd at 78-78-78=234.
