Track and Field Wraps Up Final Day at Texas Relays

Gibbons and Wash finish with top 10 performances in the long jump
AUSTIN, Texas – The University of Louisville Track and Field teams wrapped up competition at the Texas Relays on Saturday. Alexis Gibbons finished in the top five while Bre'Yana Wash finished in the top 10 of the women's long jump.
Gibbons finished fourth with a personal best outdoor jump of 6.24/20-5.75. She moved into fourth place after hitting that mark with her sixth and final jump. The freshman has finished in the top 10 of the long jump in every competition.
Wash finished seventh with a mark of 6.09/19-11.75. Wash hit the mark with her second of six jumps. Like Gibbons, Wash has also finished in the top 10 of the long jump in every outdoor competition.
Louisville will be back in action next weekend at the Crimson Tide Invitational on April 7-8 in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
