
Zach Paces the Men's Golf Team at the Auburn Invitational

THe sophompre fired a 4-under par 68 in the first round.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville sophomore Simon Zach of the University of the men's golf team fired a 4-under par 68 to lead the Cardinals at the Tiger Invitational presented by Jason Dufner at the Grand National Lakes Course.
The 19-team field played through the first round and part of the second round before suspending play due to darkness. Second round play will resume at 7:45 am CT tomorrow with the final round beginning at approximately 11:30 am with a shotgun start.
The tournament was shortened to a two-day event after a threat of inclement weather forecasted for Tuesday.
Collectively, the Cardinals are in fourth place after shooting a 1-under par 287. Auburn (279) leads Missouri and UNCW (-6) by three strokes. The Cardinals are eight strokes off the lead heading into Tuesday's action.
Zach is in sixth place after Sunday's action by carding a 68 to pace the Cardinals. He birdied three of the first nine holes, including the first and third holes to get the Cardinals off to a solid start. He is 1-over par after nine holes of the second round.
Erik Dulik is tied for 19th after the first round, shooting a 1-over par 73 in the first round, but is 1-under par for the tournament through 12 holes of the second round.
Keegan de Lange and Nicolas Platret are tied for 31st overall and are both 1-over par. De Lange shot a first-round score of 72 and Platret was a 2-over par 74.
Trevor Johnson rounded out the top five by tying for 86th overall.
