Registration Open for Field Hockey Summer Camps

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville field hockey team is set to host five different camps this summer including two skills camps, two elite camps and a team camp.

The 2017 Skills Camps are designed for 5-13-year old girls and boys, and will focus on teaching the fundamentals of the game including passing, receiving, tackling, hitting, goal scoring and game play.The skills camps will be offered in two sessions, 'Camp A' will run from June 5-8 and 'Camp B' takes place from June 12-15. Registration costs $105, but there is an early-bird discount if you sign up before April 15.

The month of July will bring two elite camps with the commuter session running July 3-4, and the overnight camp taking place July 8-10. The 2017 Overnight Elite Camp is designed for high school aged girls and will feature a combination of individual skills, team tactics and competitive game play. The commuter camp will cost $250 per camper. The price of the overnight camp is $385, but campers can commute to the overnight camp for only $300.

The 2017 summer camp series will conclude with the team camp for teams that want to build chemistry and still get better both as a team, and individually. Sessions include the development of fundamental skills, set plays, team tactics and competitive game play. The team camp will be held July 21-23 with a cost of $260 per team, and is open to varsity, junior varsity and freshmen teams.

All camps are open to any and all entrants, limited only by age, grade level, and/or gender.
