Field hockey's Nicole Woods and Taylor Stone will travel to England for a four-match test series in April
University of Louisville field hockey players Nicole Woods and Taylor Stone have been selected to the USA Field Hockey U-21 National Team England Tour Roster.

The two Cardinals will travel with the U-21 USWNT to play in a four match test series against England to be held at Bisham Abbey. The games will take place on Thursday, April 13 (4 p.m. local), Friday, April 14 (4 p.m. local, Sunday April 16 (3 p.m. local) and Monday, April 17 (10:30 a.m. local).

Woods is in her second season with the U-21 USWNT team. The midfielder/forward from Beverly, Mass., was a member of the World Cup team which finished eighth in the 2016 competition in Santiago, Chile. Prior that, she helped the team to a silver medal in the 2016 Junior Pan American Championship. Woods finished her junior season at Louisville with five goals and 10 assists while earning all-ACC honors for the second straight season.

Stone, a back from Herndon, Va., made the move to the U-21USWNT team after being selected to the U-19 team in 2016 and was named to the Germany Tour roster last spring. She is a two-year starter for the Cardinals and scored four goals while helping Louisville's defense to an ACC-best seven shutouts in 2016.
