
Men's Golf Finishes Sixth at the Hayt Invitational

Keegan de Lange and Nicolas Platret tie for ninth place.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville men's golf team posted two top 10 finishers to place sixth at The John Hayt Invitational, held at Sawgrass Country Club in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., on Sunday.
Collectively, the Cardinals shot a 17-over par 286-301-294=881 to finish 10 shots behind tournament winner North Florida – the fourth championship in the event and first since winning in 2013. UNF edged crosstown rival Jacksonville for this year's title by three strokes, finishing with a 54-hole total of 871.
Sophomore Keegan de Lange and junior Nicolas Platret each finished in a tie for ninth place to pace the Cardinals. De Lange carded a 71-75-72=218 to finish at 2-over par, while Platret shot 70-76-72=218 in his second consecutive strong performance.
Sophomore Simon Zach shot a 2-over par 74 in all three rounds to card a 222 to tie for 27th-place in the three-day event. After shooting a 71 on Friday, freshman Trevor Johnson was a +12 over the next two days to finish at 71-80-76=227 and end the tournament in a tie for 47th-place.
Senior J.D. Lehman carded a 14-over par 76-76-78=230 to tie for 56th-place on Sunday.
The Cardinals return to action on March 5-7 at the Auburn Invitational in Auburn, Ala.
