Lacrosse Travels to Orlando to Play Brown on Saturday Afternoon

Cardinals play on a neutral field against Brown
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The University of Louisville lacrosse team takes on Brown this Saturday at 1:00 p.m. The game will be held in Orlando, Fla.

The 20th-ranked Cardinals (4-1) are coming off an exciting 11-10 victory over the Commodores on Wednesday that saw Hannah Koloski score the game-winner with four seconds remaining in regulation. The game winner topped off the six goal performance for the senior. Jillian Balog returned from injury to start the game, where she tallied three goals, while Meghan Siverson tallied two goals and an assist to help the Cards efforts. Goalie Brittany Read made 11 saves in the win.

Siverson continues to lead Louisville with 18 goals and three assists for 21 points, while Koloski has 18 points with 17 goals and an assist. McKayla Conti is third on the team with 12 goals and two assists for 14 points. Freshman Ashley Lynch leads the Cardinals with six assists on the year. Brittany Read hasn't missed a minute of action in goal for the Cards. The junior goalie owns an 8.67 goals against average and has 49 saves and 11 groundballs on the season.

The Bears (2-0) are coming off two wins earlier this week, outscoring their opponents 28-4, including a 9-4 victory in their last outing versus Holy Cross.

Hafsa Moinuddin leads the way for Brown with eight goals and two assists, while fellow sophomores Grace Plassche and Zoe Verni each have four goals. Junior goal keep Mikaela Karlsson has a 2.13 goals against average while also collecting 19 saves.

Louisville leads the series 1-0 against the Bears. Last season in Louisville, the Cardinals finished with a14-6 win over Brown.
