
Women's Lacrosse Hosts 2017 Awards Banquet

Hannah Koloski took home Most Valuable Player honors.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville women's lacrosse program held its annual banquet last weekend as head coach Kellie Young announced the Cardinals' 2017 season team award winners.
The Cardinals finished the 2017 campaign with an 11-8 record and went 7-1 at UofL Lacrosse Field.
At the banquet, current seniors Casey Madura and Emily Howell, along with the graduated Stephanie McNamara, were named Unsung Heroes, while current sophomore Katie Caddigan earned the Most Improved award.
Hannah Koloski, a 2017 graduate and All-American, took home Most Valuable Player honors after leading the team with 63 goals.
They also recognized the highs of the season, which included wins over Duke, Syracuse and a fourth consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament.
Over the last four seasons, University of Louisville women's lacrosse has combined for a 49-26 record.
Next up in fall play, the Cardinals travel to Maryland to play in the Tierney Field Tournament on Oct. 14 and the Naval Academy Tournament on Oct. 15. They close out the fall schedule at home against Ohio State on Oct. 21.
