
Field Hockey Alum McCrudden Named to FIH Sentinel Homes Hockey World League Final Roster

2016 senior Erin McCrudden will earn her first career cap
University of Louisville field hockey alum Erin McCrudden has been selected to USA Field Hockey's roster for the FIH Sentinel Homes Hockey World League Final as announced by U.S. Women's National Team Head Coach Janneka Schopma on Oct. 16.

McCrudden, who finished her senior season at UofL in 2016, was one of 18 players selected to travel to Auckland, New Zealand for the women's FIH Sentinel Homes Hockey World League Final which will take place Nov. 17-26.

The Yorktown Heights, N.Y. native will be earning her first career cap. McCrudden was named to the U.S. Women's National Development Squad in January 2017, became the first player in UofL history to earn a spot on the U.S. National Team in April and went on to compete in the USWNT vs. Ireland series in May.

While playing for the Cardinals, McCrudden earned 2016 Longstreth/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) second team All-America honors. During her senior campaign, the midfielder and team co-captain led the ACC and was second in the nation with 18 assists. She went on to be named to the All-ACC second team and NFHCA Senior Game and garnered Longstreth/NFHCA All-West Region honors for the second straight season.

McCrudden is ranked second on the Louisville's list for single season assists with 18 in 2016 and finished her career with 22 assists, placing her tied for 10th on the school's all-time list.
