Jillian Shive on Louisville
"I chose to be a Louisville Cardinal because I wanted to play at the highest level of Division I field hockey for a school that would challenge me both academically and athletically and Louisville has that and more. The top-notch facilities and support for its athletes, the enthusiastic and knowledgeable coaching staff and a close-knit team that made me feel very welcome all make Louisville the perfect place for me. Â Add to all that, Louisville is where I first picked up a field hockey stick way back in kindergarten and I am very honored and excited to have the opportunity to play for the Cardinals in college!"
Â
Justine Sowry on Jillian Shive
"I am elated to announce the signing of Jillian, one of Ohio's best and a natural goal scorer. Â Jillian is a pure striker with a nose for the goal. Her competitive attitude, feistiness and quick stick work has enabled her to be a viable threat in the circle earning either penalty corners or shots on goal. Throughout the recruiting process, it was clear that Jillian was a great fit for UofL and was motivated and excited to play at the ACC level. He commitment and dedication to her both her academics and athletics is a priority and fits well into the values and culture of our field hockey program and school."
