
Damar Robinson Earns ACC Men's Field Performer of the Week Honors

Robinson earns his first ACC honor of the season after a career best performance
LOUISVILLE, KY. -- University of Louisville senior Damar Robinson has been recognized as Atlantic Coast Conference Indoor Men's Field Performer of the Week after an outstanding effort in last weekend's competition.Â

Robinson made his indoor season debut with a win in the high jump at the Kentucky Invitational. Robinson's jump of 7-3.25 (2.22m) set a new career best mark for the Kingston, Jamaica native, and currently ranks second in the nation. His current mark stands just 1.25 inches from the top mark of the young season. Robinson won the competition with almost a three-inch advantage over the competition.

Miami's Shakima Wimbley earned Women's Track Performer of the Week, Pitt's Desmond Palmer was honored on the men's side, and Clemson's Iana Amsterdam and Florida State's Jogaile Petrokaite earned Women's Field Co-Performers of the Week accolades.

The Cardinals will be back in action on Saturday at the Notre Dame Invitational.Â
