
Men's Golf Moves Up Two Spots at the Grove

Freshman Trevor Johnson shoots a 1-under par 71.
COLLEGE GROVE, TN – On a tough scoring day, freshman Trevor Johnson carded a 1-under par 71 to lead the University of Louisville men's golf team at day two of the Frankin American Mortgage Intercollegiate at The Grove (par 72, 7,348 yards).
The Cardinals carded a second round 3-over par 291 and moved into a tie for 10th with Wisconsin in the 14-team field.
Ole Miss was the only team to shoot under par on Monday which allowed them to overtake round one leader Cincinnati. The Rebels fired a 2-under par 286 and own a one shot lead over the Bearcats.
Playing in only his second round, Johnson, who was 9-over par to start the day, responded with three birdies on No. 7 and sonsecutive birdues on No. 15 and No. 16 to pace the Cardinals during the second round of action. Johnson stands in a tie for 53rd-place after Monday's round.
Erik Dulik, who was tied for 16th entering Monday's action, slipped two spots to 18th after shooting a 2-over par 74. Keegan de Lange and Devin Morely each shot a 1-over par 73 to sit in a tie for 35th place.
J.D. Lehman is tied for 73rd-place after he shot an 8-over par 80.
The final round will get underway Tuesday morning at 7:30 a.m. and fans can follow all the live scoring at golfstat.com.
