Lacrosse Named to the IWLCA Division I Academic Squad

Louisville earns the honor for the sixth straight year
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The IWLCA has named Louisville as one of 276 schools across Division I, II, III, and NAIA as IWLCA Zag Sports Academic Honor Squads for the 2015-16 academic year as announced on Tuesday.
Louisville, which has earned the award for the sixth-straight year, was one of five ACC squads that qualified for the honor. In order to earn the distinction, schools are required to have a cumulative team grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.
The Cardinals secured an at-large bid to the 2016 NCAA Tournament for the second consecutive season. Louisville began the season with a school record 7-0 start, earning their highest ranking in school history at No. 5. The Cardinals finished with an overall record of 12-6 along with an 8-1 home record.Â
