Ben Williams Finishes Third at the British Olympic Trials

Williams finishes third in the triple jump at the British Olympic Trials

Louisville's Ben Williams finished third in the triple jump at the British Athletics Olympic trials on Saturday afternoon.

" It was great to see Ben finish in the top three at the British Olympic Trials," said head coach Dale Cowper. "He has been working through a very painful ankle injury throughout the outdoor season and this is yet another performance that is a testament to his will power and determination."

Williams finished third with a jump of 16.31m. The event was closely contested, Nathan Douglas won the event with a jump of 16.58m. This season, Williams earned All-America honors during the indoor and outdoor season in the triple jump. He is also the two-time ACC triple jump champion.
