Woods Competing with USA Field Hockey in Pan American Junior Championship

Sophomore Nicole Woods is with USA Field Hockey's U21 team as they open play in the Pan American Junior Championship
The University of Louisville's Nicole Woods and USA Field Hockey's Under 21 team will begin play in the Pan American Junior Championship USA which is being held March 29-April 10 in Trinidad & Tobago.

Team USA will compete in Pool B along with Canada, Mexico and Trinidad & Tobago and will kick off the tournament on Thursday, March 31. They will follow with a matchup against Canada on Saturday and will close the weekend against Mexico on Sunday. Crossovers will start on Tuesday, April 5.

The top two finishers in the tournament will earn a berth in the Junior World Cup which will be held November 23-December 16 in Chile.

Woods, a sophomore from Beverly, Mass., was selected to USA Field Hockey's U21 roster for the Pan American Games in February. She was initially named to the U21 team in the summer of 2015, she competed with the team in a test series against Great Britain in January 2016. She was previously a member of the USA Field Hockey U19 squad and traveled to Belgium for a series of games.
