
Track and Field's Alexis Murry Named Miss Black UofL

Murry will represent NSBE for the Miss Kentucky on June 30 in Lexington
LOUISVILLE, KY. -- University of Louisville track and field athlete Alexis Murry was crowned Miss Black UofL last week. The student chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) hosted the pageant in Strickler Hall's Middleton Auditorium, for the first time in five years.Â
This was the first year the pageant was presented as a local preliminary for Miss Kentucky. Murry will hold the title of Miss Black UofL and represent NSBE for the Miss Kentucky on June 30 in Lexington.
Murry is a junior sprinter studying exercise science. She has started the 2016 outdoor season with a win at the USF Bulls Invitational with the 4x400 meter relay team. She also finished sixth in the 110 meter hurdles with a career best time of 14.12.
