SERIES
• Louisville improved to 5-7 all-time against Duke with the 71-64 victory on Saturday, and the have won five of the last eight meetings in the series.
• The win over Duke was the first home win over the Blue Devils since a 99-61 victory on Freedom Hall on Jan. 2, 1982.
TEAM
• Louisville owns a 5-6 record against teams ranked 20th in the Associated Press poll, including a 3-0 mark for head coach Rick Pitino. Louisville is 3-3 this season against ranked opponents this year.
• After committing seven turnovers in the first half in the win over Duke, the Cardinals turned the ball over just four times in the second half as the Cards overcame an eight-point deficit.
• The Cardinals trailed at the half for just the sixth time this season, and the first time since trailing Duke 35-24 on Feb. 8. The Cardinals out-scored the Blue Devils 42-27 today in the second half, the largest scoring margin since outscoring Pitt 39-24 on Jan. 14. Louisville is now 2-4 this year when trailing at the half this season.
• The Cardinals moved to 18-3 on the season when outrebounding an opponent after finishing with a 31-29 edge on the glass.
• Louisville trailed Duke 52-41 with 11:38 to play, but closed the game with a 30-12 run to pull out the 71-64 win.
• Louisville owns a 51-15 overall mark during the month of February over the last nine seasons.
• The Cardinals improved to 51-17 in conference games over the last four seasons.
• Shooting over 50.0 percent during the win over Duke, the Cardinals shot over 50.0 percent in a game for the 13th time this season. UofL shot 50.0 percent for the game, connecting on 28-of-56 field goals in the win.
• The Cardinals improved to 98-14 all-time at the KFC Yum! Center, now in its sixth season as the home of Louisville basketball.
PLAYER
• Sophomore Chinanu Onuaku registered his 10th double-double of the season and the 11th of his career scoring 10 points and recording 11 rebounds. He also recorded a game-high four blocks – the 23rd game this season with a blocked shot and the ninth time with at least three or more in a game this year.
• Saturday marked the 16th time this season Onuaku has scored in double-figures and the 12th time this season he has finished with 10 or more rebounds in a game.
• Onuaku has led the Cardinals in rebounding 18 times this season.
• Graduate student Damion Lee led the Cardinals in scoring for the 16th time this season with Wednesday's 24-point effort. It was his eighth time this season he scored 20 or more points in a game, and the most since tallying 24 versus North Carolina on Feb. 1
• Saturday marked the 24th double-figure scoring performance of the season for Lee and the 98th of his collegiate career. Lee needs just 26 points to reach 2,000 points during his career, which included three seasons at Drexel.
• Lee tallied four steals in the win over Duke, which was his best total since tallying four versus Pittsburgh on Jan. 14.
• Graduate student Trey Lewis recorded a game-high five assists – the most since recording five versus Florida State on Jan. 20.
• Making only his fourth start of the season, redshirt freshman Deng Adel narrowly missed tying his career-high by tallying 12 points on 5-of-6 shooting from the floor and hit only his fourth career 3-point field goal in the contest. Deng scored a career-best 13 points versus Boston College on Feb. 6,
• In his last two starts versus Boston College and Duke, Deng is averaging 12.5 ppg and has connected on 10-of-14 shots from the floor.
