Sophomore Year:
- 2017 All-ACC Academic Men’s Basketball team selection, earning the recognition for the second straight year.
- Primary starter at small forward for the Cardinals, scoring in double digits in 22 games.
- Cards’ scoring leader over the last six games of the season, averaging 16.3 points, shooting 54 percent from the field (35-of-65), and scoring over 20 points in two of those games and at least 16 points in five of the six.
- Aside from missing the Cardinals’ Feb. 6 game at Virginia for breaking curfew, Adel scored in double figures in 12 of his last 15 games, including a career-high 22 points at Wake Forest. He averaged 14.2 points over his last 15 games while shooting 47.2 percent from the field (77-of-163).
- Scored 21 points against Duke in the ACC Tournament, finishing 7-of-14 from the field while grabbing five rebounds.
- Scored a career-high 22 points at Wake Forest while pulling down five rebounds and dishing out three assists.
