
Zach Named the Czech Golfer of the Year

Zach earns award based on WAGR World Ranking
University of Louisville sophomore men's golfer Simon Zach was named the Czech Golfer of the Year for the 2016 season based on his performance for the national team and his Wagr World ranking.
"We are extremely proud of Simon," Crabtree said. "He has continuously improved since he joined the team. The Czech golfer of the year award is well deserved."

A native of Prague, Czech Republic, Zach's biggest achievement for the year came by finishing third in third place at the European Championship in Estonia. He finished with at 14-under par and made hole in one in the tournament.

"I am very delighted and humble to win this award," Zach said. "It is not just a win for me, it is a win for my parents, my coaches and it is a win for University of Louisville where my season started and ended this year. I played this year great golf this year and I am looking forward to play much more as a cardinal in my future."
