
Cards Close Fall Season with Fifth-Place Finish

Keegan de Lange ties for 10th overall with a score of 210.
PRINCEVILLE, HI – The University of Louisville men's golf team, in its final fall tournament, finished fifth at the Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational on Tuesday from the par-72, 7,223-yard Princeville Makai Golf Course.
The Cardinals fired a 1-under, 863, led by sophomore Keegan de Lange (71-70-69 – 210) who finished in a tie for 10th at 6-under, 210. De Lange closed strong by shooting a 3-under par 69 on Tuesday to help the Cards maintain their fifth-place finish.
Twenty-first ranked Mississippi won the team title, firing a 33-under, 831. Sam Houston secured second by seven strokes as No. 24 Missouri took third at 4-under, 860. No. 22 Arizona State (2-under, 862) and Louisville (1-under, 863) rounded out the top five. The Rebels' Braden Thornberry, the nation's No. 21 ranked golfer, bested Ertel by three strokes to claim the individual title at 13-under, 203.
Elsewhere, Simon Zach performed well, tying for 18th overall. After shooting a 5-under par 67 on Monday, Zach fired a 2-over par 74 to finish 1-under for the tournament with a final score of 74-67-74=215.
Erik Dulik was tied for 33rd overall by finishing with a tournament total of 72-71-76=219, just three shots over par. J.D. Lehman was tied for 61st with his scores of 76-73-74=223 and Devin Morley rounded out the top five by finishing in a tie for 78th at 82-76-72=230.
The Cardinals will return to action at the Mobile Sports Authority Intercollegiate on Feb. 20-21.
