- Jaylen Johnson totaled 19 points, 14 rebounds and three blocked shots against Evansville, all career highs and his first career double-double -- all in 24 minutes of action. It was his third career double figure scoring effort.
- With its victory over Evansville, Louisville has won 22 of its last 24 season opening games, including winning its last 13 straight openers (70- 33 all-time in openers). UofL Coach Rick Pitino has a 28-3 record in opening games collectively at his four full collegiate coaching stops.

- Â Louisville has won its last 39 consecutive home games in November spanning the last 25 years, including a perfect 26-0 record in the KFC Yum! Center in the season-opening month.
- Â Louisville is one of just four schools which have won 20 or more games in each of the last 14 seasons (also Kansas, Duke and Gonzaga).
- Co-captain Quentin Snider is the Cardinals' leading returning scorer for the second straight year, averaging 9.4 points and 3.5 assists (4th in the ACC. His 2.73 assist-turnovers ratio was 43rd in the nation.
- UofL Coach Rick Pitino needs four victories to reach 750 in his collegiate career and eight wins for his 400th victory at Louisville. He is one of five active coaches with at least 740 victories.
